I love coffee. So much. In fact, I'm drinking some right now as I blog.
It's no surprise then that when I'm not careful, coffee becomes one of my biggest expenditures, second only to the MTA. I only drink one cup a day, and a cup only costs about $2, but that adds up surprisingly quickly.
At school, I've created a system to decrease my coffee spending: having three different coffee makers on hand. My melita, french press, and espresso maker.
These pictures are of my lovely little melita, which I use on an almost daily basis to make single cups of coffee. It's fast and easy and not a pain to clean.
I use the french press when I have friends over, because that makes 3-4 cups of coffee. And the espresso machine, I use that for lattes, usually when I want a drink with more milk, like this and this.
Making my own coffee was such a simple solution to spend less and stick to my college-budget!
