Strawberries, Blueberries, and Raisins, Oh My!

My first class of every day is dance, so I usually don't eat a big breakfast in the morning because it would be hard to dance on a full stomach. But yesterday morning, I was in *so* much of a rush that I went to dance without eating anything, so when I got back after class, I made my own version of a breakfast feast.

These are whole wheat cinnamon raisin english muffins from Trader Joe's, topped with Bonne Maman wild blueberry jam, the same kind I used here. I washed some strawberries to have along, which added fruit and some color to the plate.

Ready for the very best part of this breakfast? I made my own mocha latte.

My mom sent me to school with her old espresso machine, but I hadn't actually tried it out until yesterday morning. First I had to buy the right kind of coffee for espresso, then I had to stalk the people working at Joe's to learn how to use a machine... and finally, I made my own espresso! I added 1% milk and some Trader Joe's organic "midnight moo" chocolate syrup (2 tablespoons is 90 calories and fat free!), to make a mocha latte. Mmmm!
