Yogurt parfaits are undeniably popular. You can find them at healthy breakfast restaurants, cute diners, at all of the cafes on my school's campus, and heck, they even sell them at McDonalds. This weekend I was traveling to Ohio, and I noticed they were sold at nearly every rest stop, and were probably the most healthy option at each one.
But it's no wonder they're so popular! Yogurt parfaits super healthy, delicious, and cover three major food groups in one meal (fruits, grains, and dairy). Not mention that they are extremely filling. Today I am going to the ballet for one of my classes, and since the show is a matinee, I'm going to have a late lunch after the show. This breakfast is perfect to keep me full all morning.
What's Inside:
TJ's low fat mixed berry granola
1 nonfat yogurt
1 banana, chopped
1 apple, chopped
Just mix everything together! This can of course be made with any fruits, and kind of yogurt, and any kind of granola you'd like!
By the way, if you were reading closely, you might have noticed that I said I was in Ohio this weekend. I was on a trip with a club I'm involved with at school, and we drove to Cleveland in 15 person vans. I was one of the van captains for my van, and as a thank you gift for the weekend, my AMAZING van (shout out to van wilder if you're reading this - love you guys!) got me a cookbook! They know me oh so well. I'm so excited to make some recipes from here, so look out for that soon!
