I was looking for a dessert alternative, something to give me the sweet satisfaction of dessert but with a little more nutrition. In a pan, I melted a little
butter, and added
brown sugar. When this turned into a sticky caramel-ish substance, I added in the
chopped apple. As the apple pieces warmed and softened, the sauce also thinned and coated the apples.
Oh, and I ended up adding on a little scoop of ice cream. Guess it was pretty dessert-ish after all!
