Chana Masala (Well, sort of)


My mom makes this delicious Indian-inspired dish at home, and I love making it here at school too, because it is so healthy, and so easy to make.

To start, simply sauté an onion with olive oil. When the onions are almost cooked, sprinkle on Indian spices - curry powder, cumin, and garam masala. Then, add the chickpeas, and continue to cook until chickpeas are just warmed.

Enjoy with naan or pita, and raita, an Indian yogurt-cucumber dip!
